The trail of this trek is through the Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary and has the river Mandovi flowing alongside it. Unlike any other trek, you cross railway tracks to reach the waterfall. Day 1 - Castle Rock Station To Dudhsagar Waterfalls
Castle Rock can be reached by taxi or train from Panaji, Goa. This trek starts at the Castle Rock station from where you start walking along the railway tracks. You will pass through many small waterfalls and a dense forest cover of the Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. It will take around 7 hours to reach the Dudhsagar falls. Reach the falls by late afternoon and take a refreshing dip. You can camp here for the night.
Day 2 - Dudhsagar Falls to Bangalore
Start early after having breakfast and retrace your steps from where you started, it will take 5 hours to traverse this distance. Once at the Castle Rock station, you can board trains to Panaji or Bangalore.
