The Young Explorers program is one of a kind comprehensive summer camp program developed by Bikat adventures which focuses on Physical (Agility, Coordination, Endurance, Strength), Mental ( Decision Making, Interpersonal Relation, Empathy, Problem Solving), Emotional (Self Confidence, Motivation, Initiative, Overcoming Fear of Failure) and, Social (Community Interaction, Gender Sensitization, Service Orientation) development of the participants. Camp Daniel in Kaudiyala is a comprehensive 7-day program specially designed for the age group of 15 - 18 years. The camp is located on the banks of river Ganga in Uttarakhand. Camp Daniel is 36 km away from Rishikesh. Some of the activities done during summer camp are rafting helps in improving coordination (Body & mind) and decision making, stream walk overcoming the fear of failure, improves patience and self-confidence, and zip line. Team building games and skill development activities are the main focus of this camp.
Arrival at the camp
We reach Camp Daniel, Manali by 8:00 am. After breakfast there will be an introduction session among the students and the leaders , camp introduction, rules and regulations introduction, staff introduction and rope distribution. After this tents/rooms are allotted. Followed by a lunch break is an ice breaking session. Hiking and introduction to camping in the Himalayas is the highlight of the day. After evening snacks, we play some games and enjoy. After the fun session dinner is served and a meeting between the camp leaders and students carried out. This marks the end of the first day. Lights out!
Rappelling and Team Building Activity Day
After a wake up call at 6 am, a chhoti hazri session will be held in which the participants will have a chance to discuss their experiences or grievances from the previous day/night. After this a warm up session for the upcoming day will be held. After a hearty breakfast,the exciting activity of rappelling will be next.Followed by lunch and some team building activities. By the time these activities are finished it will be time for evening snacks and tea. The Zero Zone will follow next. The participants will also get some free time in the day to relax. Evening games will entertain everyone in the camp. An early dinner followed by a meeting between the camp leaders and participants will mark the end of the day.
Stream Walking and Team Building Activity Day
This day will also start early at 6 am. Followed by the Chhoti hazri and breakfast. The activity of stream walking will be next. Post lunch team building activities will follow. The rest of the day ahead will be evening snacks, zero zone, evening games followed by dinner, team meeting and lights out.
Zip Line and Team Building Activity Day
This day starts early at 6 am. Followed by the Chhoti hazri and breakfast. Zip lining will be next. Post lunch team building activities will follow. The rest of the day ahead will be evening snacks, zero zone, evening games followed by dinner, team meeting and lights out.
Survival Skill Development Day
Another early day at the camp will be followed by breakfast. After which skill development session in which tent pitching, wood collecting, fire making and food making will be taught. After all the participants have been taught the above mentioned skills, the team will go for survival walk. The participants will have a chance to try their hands at the activities they learned earlier in the day. After returning to the camps, dinner will be served. Bonfire will be another highlight of the day. Team meeting and lights off will follow.
Rafting Day and Talent Night
This day will also start early. We will go on an early morning outing first. Returning from the outing, tasty breakfast will be served. After breakfast, the exciting activity of rafting will follow. Lunch will be served post rafting. Some team building activities will be next. Preparation for talent night will also be done. Followed by evening snacks time, zero zone, talent night and dinner. The meeting between camp leaders and participants will be next and lights will be put out post the meeting.
Final Day
The last day at the camp will start around 7 am. The participants shall pack their bags and ensure that they take all their belongings back home. The last breakfast of the camp will be served next. BPL( Bikat Premiere League) will be next on the activity list. Sharing and Thanks ceremony will be held next. Followed by a feedback session. To mark the end of a fabulous week a group photo of all the participants, team leaders and staff will be taken. Post the photo session lunch will be served and finally all the participants will assemble. The group will be escorted to the bus for the final departure.
The Kaudiyala summer camp i.e. Camp Daniel is ideal for the age group of 15 - 18 years. Participants will have a chance to engage in new activities and connect with nature and their surroundings. Apart from fun activities, the participants will also be able to learn and enhance their physical, social, mental and emotional intelligence. The summer camps are the best way to get out of beds and off their devices.
A program on the last day of the summer camp in which some performances and competitions will be held.
A session in which all the feedbacks and grievances of the participants will be addressed by the camp leaders.
No cell phones will be allowed on the camp.
Zero Zone will be a time zone for reflection and meditation for the participants.
