Bangalore to Makalidurga Peak and back
Reach the Makalidurga railway station around 8 am. From the station, a short 2 km walk across the tracks will take you to the base of the trek. Start the trek and reach the top around 11 am. Take short stops especially at the temple and the lake. Once at the top, have a hearty lunch and explore the fort. After spending a few hours at the top, start your journey back towards the base. Reach the base by 6 pm. From here you can board trains or private vehicles back to Bangalore.
