The Pindari Glacier, in the Bageshwar district, falls in the Kumaon Himalayas. It is one of the most easily accessible of all the Himalayan glaciers. The max. altitude you reach during Pindari Glacier trek is 12300 ft. The glacier flows to the south for a short distance of about 3 KM and gives rise to the Pindari River which meets river Alakananda at Karnaprayag in the Garhwal district. Trek to Pindari glacier is quite easy and doesn't pose many challenges. If you are looking for a little challenging trail with utmost beauty and Himalayan grandeur explore Kedartal Trek or try summiting Pangarchulla peak. Like Pindari Glacier both these treks are also located in Uttarakhand.
Loharkhet - Dhakuri
After breakfast start trekking (10 km) to reach Dhakuri by crossing Dhakuri Pass 2800 m. Trek leads through very steep and dense forest. Dhakuri has a beautiful Meadow. Overnight stay in tents.
Dhakuri - Dwali
After breakfast start trekking (20 km) to reach Dwali via Khati. Khati is also the last village on this trek. Arrive Diwali and overnight stay in tents.
Dwali - Phurkia
Morning after breakfast start trekking (5 km) to reach Phurkia. Today's trek is short and an easy one. Arrive Phurkia and overnight stay in tents.
Phurkia - Zero Point - Phurkia- Dwali
Morning after breakfast start trekking (15 km) to reach zero point. The mouth of the Pindari Glacier is also called as Zero Point. After lunch trek back to reach Dwali. Overnight stay in tents.
Dwali- Kafni Galcier
After Morning breakfast start trekking (12 Kms) to Kafni glacier which is situated to the left of Pindar Valley. Overnight in Kafni.
Kafni Galcier - Dwali
Morning after breakfast start trekking (12 km) to reach Dwali. overnight stay in Dwali.
Dwali - Khati- Dhakuri
Morning after breakfast start trekking (20 km) to reach Dhakuri the same day. Overnight in Dhakuri.
Dhakuri- Loharkhet-Almora- Kathgodam
Morning after breakfast start trekking downwards (10 km) to reach Loharkhet. From loharkhet drive (210 kms) to Kathgodam via town of Almora.
