The Visapur Fort is located in the Pune district of Maharashtra. This historic fort stands at a height of 1,084m and the trek to this fort is one of its kind. Especially during the monsoons, the trail becomes extremely beautiful. Both larger and higher in altitude than its twin the Lohagad Fort, the Visapur Fort hosts perfectly preserved fort walls and intricate Hanuman carvings. With small streams of water flowing everywhere, the Visapur Fort trek is a thrilling adventure for nature enthusiasts. This trek can be done by beginners as well as experienced trekkers and can be easily completed in one day. With staggering sights of lush green surroundings, the enchanting Pawna Lake, the majestic forts of Tikona, Lohagad and Tung, the views from the top of the fort are unbelievable. This trek can be easily done by yourself without the need of any tour agency.

Bhaje - Visapur Fort - Bhaje

The Visapur Fort trek starts from the Bhaje village. Have a sumptuous breakfast here and start to move towards the Visapur Fort. It takes around 3 hours to reach the top. At the top, you can enjoy the views and get to know about the historic importance of this place. After spending some time at the top, retrace your steps and get down to the base village. From here you can go back to Mumbai by road.
